Victor Brechenmacher


Victor Brechenmacher is an intern at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, where he contributes to the institute’s work on global order and rights and democracy.

Victor holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from Brown University and is a former staff editor at Foreign Affairs magazine in New York. He is currently obtaining a dual master’s degree at Sciences Po Paris and Free University Berlin focusing on international relations and human rights. At Sciences Po, he was a member of a legal clinic engaged in strategic litigation for the rights of refugees. Victor’s studies are supported by the German Academic Scholarship Foundation.

Previously, Victor interned at the Atlantic Council in Washington, DC and at POLITICO Europe in Berlin.
