Vera Schröder


Vera Schröder is an intern with the Global Public Policy Institute in Berlin, where she supports the institute’s work on development and humanitarian action. Her research interests include human development, the empowering potential of new technologies, and the intersection between gender and development.

Vera is currently enrolled in a graduate program at Sciences Po Paris, where her focus is on international development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from the University of Groningen (Netherlands). As part of her undergraduate studies, she completed an exchange semester at the Pontificia Universidad Católica in Santiago de Chile. Vera also holds a master’s degree in international political economy from the University of Groningen. For her studies she received scholarships from the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) and the Konrad Adenauer Foundation. 

Throughout her academic career, Vera has focused on regional developments in Latin America. After spending time in Argentina and Chile, she interned at the German Embassy in Colombia in 2018, where she assisted the political department as well as the economic cooperation and development section.
