Jassin Irscheid


Jassin Irscheid is an intern with the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, where he supports the institute’s work on peace and security. His research interests include the intersection of migration and technology, international cooperation in border management, civil crisis prevention, and humanitarian support.

Before joining GPPi, Jassin worked as student research assistant at Humboldt University in Berlin. Previously, he interned in the Political Department at the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in New York and in the Migration Team of the German Marshall Fund in Berlin.

Jassin studied political science at the Free University in Berlin and the Instituto Superior de Ciências do Trabalho e da Empresa in Lisbon. He wrote his bachelor’s thesis on EU migration management and international security discourses. His studies were supported by the Heinrich Böll Foundation.
