Dania Abu-Sharkh


Dania Abu-Sharkh is an intern at the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, where she supports the work of the peace and security team. Her research interests include security in the MENA region, as well as the long-term effects of conflict on individuals and development opportunities. 

Dania is currently pursuing a master’s degree in international affairs at the Hertie School in Berlin. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Edinburgh, where she wrote her thesis on the effects of stress on feelings of empathy. After completing her degree, Dania volunteered as an English teacher in the West Bank.
