Jill van de Walle

Intern

Jill van de Walle is an intern with the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, where she supports the institute’s work on rising powers and global governance and contributes to the Global Governance Futures (GGF) program. Her research interests include the role of China in global governance, energy and environmental governance, and South-South cooperation and investments. 

Jill is currently pursuing a two-year master’s degree in international public policy at the Paris School of International Affairs of Sciences Po Paris in France, focusing on China, East Asia and environmental policy. She will graduate in July 2019

Jill holds an bachelor’s degree in international and European law from the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in the Netherlands. She also spent a semester studying in Yogyakarta, Indonesia, and conducted research in Morogoro, Tanzania. Previously, Jill interned with the UN Women China office in Beijing and studied Mandarin at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China.
