Claire Clement

Claire Clement was a research associate with the Global Public Policy Institute in Berlin until November 2008. She is currently an international law adviser with the British Red Cross in London, where she provides advice and training in international humanitarian law to the British Red Cross management.

Prior to GPPi, Claire Clement worked in the International Humanitarian Law Program at the Australian Red Cross, developing and delivering training in the laws of armed conflict and international criminal law for the military, police, government and non-governmental organizations. Before joining the Red Cross, Claire worked as a civilian for the Australian Department of Defence in the UK and Australia, in both legal and strategy areas.

Claire holds a combined history and law degree from the University of New South Wales in Australia, as well as a master’s in international peace and security from King’s College, London.
