Ana Lankes is an intern with the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin, where she contributes to the institute’s work on rising powers and global governance.
Ana recently completed her bachelor’s degree in history at the University of Oxford, where she specialized in modern Indian politics. Her thesis, for which she was awarded a university prize, centered on discourses of violence in a far-left movement in Bengal.
Since then, she has worked at the NGO Global Witness, focusing on environmental activism in Honduras and the Philippines, and conducted research for Simon Kuper from the Financial Times on a variety of topics, and worked on the Dangerous Speech Project in Washington, DC. Previously, Ana interned at Thomson Reuters and volunteered in Mongolia for three months, working on a farm in Darkhan.
