GPPi Research Associate contributes to "Transatlantic Dialogue on Terrorism"

On 15 December 2009, GPPi Research Associate Raphael Bossong gave a presentation on the evolution and remaining gaps in the EU's efforts against terrorism at a workshop hosted by the Brookings Institution in Washington D.C.

Bossong explored possibilities for improving preventive counterterrorism policies, and argued for an increased political engagement with moderate Islamic parties in the EU's southern neighborhood. The workshop facilitated open discussions among policy-makers and eminent academic experts from both the U.S. and the EU, and forms part of a dialogue series that is supported by the European Commission.
