GPPi welcomes new fellow

Kelly Johnson has joined GPPi as a fellow. She is based in Calgary, Canada and supports the European Commission funded project entitled "Raising the Bar: Towards enhanced cooperation and coherence in transatlantic governance of natural disaster relief and preparedness."

Her research interests are disaster response and preparedness, post-conflict reconstruction, and global governance. Prior to working with GPPi, Kelly worked as an independent consultant to the Fragile States Unit of the World Bank where she focused on post-conflict and disaster response programs. Kelly has also worked previously with Mennonite Economic Development Associates in Tanzania and as a Development Assurance Project Coordinator with Shell Canada. She also volunteered for the Youth Challenge International Challenger Leadership Practicum in Vanuatu (2002). Kelly holds a B.A (Honors) in Development and Political Theory from Queen's University and an MSc in Development Management from the London School of Economics.
