GPPi tasked to extend Monitoring and Evaluation activities for UN OCHA into second year
The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UN OCHA) has tasked GPPi to extend its Monitoring and Evaluation activities for the Gender Standby Capacity Project (GenCap) into the second year.
The overall objective of GenCap is to improve gender equality programming in humanitarian actions. The immediate objective of the program is to develop a sustainable and high-quality pool of gender advisors who are able to work with a “common understanding of, and ability to undertake, gender equality programming in humanitarian settings.”
Building on the monitoring and evaluation (M&E) framework developed and piloted by GPPi between April 2007 and March 2008, GPPi will revise the framework and continue to train and support gender advisors in the use of the M&E framework. The GPPi team will also continue to collect and analyze data to determine the effectiveness, relevance and impact of GenCap, and develop a dissemination strategy for the results of the evaluation.
