GPPi welcomes new Research Associate

Raphael Bossong has joined GPPi as a Research Associate. His research interests include international security, European integration, and crisis decision-making. He will contribute to expanding and developing GPPi’s work on EU foreign and security policy and Europe’s global role. In this context, he will support GPPi’s new research project on organizational learning in EU civilian crisis management.

Raphael Bossong holds a BA in Social and Political Sciences from the University of Cambridge, and a Masters in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). He is also a PhD candidate at the LSE, writing on EU counterterrorism policy and its impact on the EU as a security actor.

From 2006-2008 Raphael was a Research Assistant for an international research project on EU security policy, and taught seminars on European integration at the LSE and King's College London. In 2007 he also worked for McKinsey & Company, Berlin and for an association of the leading British universities (the Russell Group).
