Monitoring & Evaluation

GPPi contributes to the improvement of global governance and international programs by supporting our partners in designing and implementing monitoring and evaluation projects as well as strategy and management reviews.

Our activities typically build on knowledge generated through GPPi’s research activities, combining expertise about global governance (such as humanitarian assistance, international development, public-private partnerships, and energy security) with knowledge about organizational structures and processes (such as learning environments, accountability structures, and cooperative arrangements). This dual focus on topic and organization ensures that all M&E projects have a relevant and customized design, leading to clear and fair conclusions as well as pertinent and attainable recommendations. GPPi’s cooperative and inclusive work style ensures that clients and all relevant stakeholders are involved in the design and implementation of an evaluation project. In doing so, our outputs emphasize evaluation use and accessible results.

GPPi has strong methodological skills, including the development and normative justification of indicators, the design of monitoring tools as well as effective approaches to data collection and analysis. Our methodologies are in line with the evaluation standards and good practices developed by OECD/DAC, ALNAP, Deutsche Gesellschaft für Evaluation and others.

All M&E projects designed for public use include a dissemination strategy. The targeted dissemination of results is facilitated through our extensive international network of international experts, policy makers and civil society representatives.
