Working with Us
Interested in joining GPPi? Working with GPPi provides challenging and intellectually stimulating opportunities to address some of the most pressing global policy challenges of our time. Our team is made up of highly motivated and dedicated individuals with outstanding analytical skills, international experience and a willingness to grow with the job. The majority of our international team is based in our office in Berlin.
There are three paths to joining the GPPi team:
First, we recruit for specific positions within established research or consulting projects. Such vacancies arise on an irregular basis. We also post vacancies through IB Liste, a listserv to which you can subscribe by sending a blank message to ib-liste-subscribe@yahoogroups.de.
Second, we strive to be at the cutting-edge of policy research and welcome proposals from entrepreneurial and self-driven individuals to develop cutting-edge research (e.g. in the context of pursuing a PhD), integrating this project into existing or to be established GPPi research programs. While we work on a purely project-funded basis and do not usually provide start-up grants for new projects, we can provide an attractive platform for innovative researchers and help with securing funding for new projects. Suggestions or proposals can be submitted to gppi@gppi.net
Third, we are interested in strengthening our analysis and consulting capacity at both a junior and more senior level (especially in the fields of development and humanitarian assistance). If you are interested in joining our team and willing to help shape GPPi’s analysis and consulting work, please send your CV to gppi@gppi.net with a brief letter on what you expect from working with GPPi and what you would bring to the institute.
Our working language is English. Knowledge of German (and other languages such as Mandarin, Spanish, Hindi, Russian and French) is an asset.
