Wade Hoxtell

Wade Hoxtell is a project manager with the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin. His research interests include global energy governance, climate change, public-private partnerships and corporate social responsibility. He is the coordinator of GPPi’s Global Energy Governance program and organizes the Transatlantic Energy Security Dialogues conference series. He is also editor of the UN-Business Focal Point, a newsletter that GPPi produces together with the UN Global Compact, and works as a consultant to a number of United Nations agencies, including the UN Global Compact Office, UNICEF and the ILO, on partnerships and sustainability issues.
He holds an MA in European Studies from Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland and undergraduate degrees in international relations, German, European studies and global cultures from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. From 2001-2002 he studied at the University of Bonn where he received a state certificate in German language. Before joining the Global Public Policy Institute in May 2006, he was a project assistant with the Aspen Institute Berlin. From 2003-2004 he worked as a legislative aide in the Wisconsin State Senate.
