Research Associate, Bundeskanzler Fellow

Özge Güzelsu

Özge Güzelsu is a research associate with the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) in Berlin. She receives an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Bundeskanzler fellowship. As a Bundeskanzler fellow with GPPi, Özge researches how Germany, both within the European Union and bilaterally, approaches development, security and politics in the Middle East. Additionally, she analyzes Turkey's role in the Greater Middle East, as well as its aspirations for EU accession, with a focus on Germany's policies toward EU enlargement.

Özge worked as a federal law clerk for the Honorable Lourdes G. Baird and then as a litigation associate at Munger, Tolles & Olson in Los Angeles for five years. Born in Istanbul, Turkey, Özge received her BA from Harvard in 1998, a JD from Stanford in 2002 and a Master in Public Administration from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government in 2010.
