Ramsey Ben-Achour

Ramsey Ben-Achour was an intern with the Global Public Policy Institute, Berlin, during the fall of 2008. Ramsey's fields of interest include issues of accountability, environmental sustainability, and Middle East studies with a specific focus on the Palestine question.

Prior to this, Ramsey worked as a Freelance Journalist in the Occupied Palestinian Territories for Inter Press Services (IPS News), as well as a staff writer for the Palestine Monitor. He has done extensive work with media advocacy for The Palestine National Initiative (PNI), as well as the Palestine Medical Relief Society (PMRS). Ramsey was the Editor-in-Chief of the American University of Paris's (AUP) politics and economics scholarly journal Scripta Politica, and was part of an AUP research team that traveled to Bosnia-Herzegovina to research and document cultural genocide. Previously, in the United States of America, he worked as a government consultant at the Library of Congress where he assisted in congressional directed research on a wide array of topics.

Ramsey holds a Masters degree with Merit from the London School of Economics where he studied Development Management and focused on issues of accountability. He also obtained a B.A. in International Comparative Politics from the American University of Paris (AUP) where he achieved both the highest school honors as well as the highest departmental honors.
