Max Hummel

Max Hummel was an intern with the Global Public Policy Institute, Berlin, for the summer of 2009. He is currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in Philosophy at Yale University.

Max interned for the Deutsche Boerse in Frankfurt and Esso Montana in Munich. He co-founded the Model United Nations (MUN) of Munich conference and developed a particular interest in the reform of the UN. For his MUN commitment, the Bavarian Ministry for Education and Culture as well as the city of Munich awarded him a prize for excellence in social projects. At Yale University, Max volunteered for the Dixwell community center and as a Yale International Ambassador for the Undergraduate Admissions Office.

His research interests include contemporary critical theory and normative ethics. During his time at with GPPi, Max contributed to the “Crisis and Change” project.
