Leonard Ghione

Leonard Ghione was a summer intern with the Global Public Policy Institute, Berlin.  He is currently a fourth-year-student of law at the Albert-Ludwigs-University Freiburg as well as a recipient of the German National Foundation scholarship. He works as a Research Assistant with the European Criminal Law Division at the Max-Planck-Institute for Foreign and International Criminal Law. His research interests include international organizations, especially the European Union and international law. 

Previous to his work experience in Freiburg, Leonard held the position of Research Assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute for International Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg. He recently interned in the United States with the Permanent Missions of Germany to the United Nations in its Energy, Population and Health Division. His experience also includes internships with the Permanent Mission of Germany to the World Trade Organization in Geneva, Switzerland and the Tribunal Supremo de España, Madrid, Spain. Before moving to Freiburg, Leonard studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-University in Heidelberg, Germany and the Carlos III University in Madrid, Spain.
