Lejla Sadiku

Lejla Sadiku was an intern for GPPi during the summer of 2009. She is currently a graduate student of public policy at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin and a scholar of the Hertie Foundation in Frankfurt. She has a B.A. degree from the American University, Bulgaria, in Business Administration and Political Science/International Relations. After completing her undergraduate degree in 2007, she co-founded an initiative for regional cooperation and tolerance building in Prishtina, Kosovo. Later she interned for the World Bank office in Kosovo. She also did consultancy work on employment projects for the World Bank in Kosovo and Macedonia.

Lejla’s research interests include humanitarian affairs, human development, poverty alleviation programs and the cross between politics, development and security. During her internship at GPPi she contributed to the “Learning to Build Rule of Law” project as well as the humanitarian assistance program.
