Justin Sosne was a summer fellow with the Global Public Policy Institute, Berlin. He is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Public Policy and Management degree at Carnegie Mellon University, where he serves as Executive Co-Chair of the International Development Group.
Prior to arriving at Carnegie Mellon, Justin participated in the Coro Fellowship in Public Affairs, a national nine-month fellowship in public policy, during which time he worked for a United States Congressman and wrote for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.
Justin graduated Phi Beta Kappa and with highest distinction from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (UNC) in 2006 with a B.A. in political science and Spanish. While at UNC, he worked with Hispanic immigrants and Burmese refugees, interned with the Erskine Bowles for United States Senate campaign, and co-founded and led the Southeast Asia Interest Association, which helped raise over $10,000 for tsunami relief and AIDS prevention.
In the future, Justin hopes to engage in a career focusing on anti-corruption efforts, diplomacy, and the study of integration issues brought about by global migration patterns. During his internship from May to July 2008, Justin supported GPPi’s work on the UN system.
