Debashree Roy

Debashree Roy was an intern with the GPPi for the summer of 2010. She holds a double B.A in English Literature, from the University of Delhi and from the University of Cambridge. During her studies, she was a team member of the international affairs magazine 'The Cambridge Globalist' and participated in Model United Nations conferences held in Delhi, Oxford and London.

After graduation, she worked with the Tibetan Parliamentary and Policy Research Centre under the Friedrich Naumann Stiftung in New Delhi as a Research Assistant. Her work consisted of tracing the effects of Education and Training Programs among Tibetan refugees in India to understand their concepts of 'nationalism', 'democracy' and awareness of options of self-determination. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Policy at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin.
