Claudius Furtwängler was an intern with the GPPi from April to July 2005. He worked as part of the project team for the joint GPPi/Global Compact study "Business UNUsual. Advancing Partnerships Between the United Nations and the Private Sector" to be published in September 2005. Claudius contributed various case studies on UN-business partnerships to the report.

Claudius is a fourth-year undergraduate student of law at King’s College London and will graduate in 2006. During the academic year 2004/2005 he spent a year at the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. He received a scholarship from the German United World Colleges National Committee to study at Li Po Chun United World College in Hong Kong, where he spent two years and graduated with the International Baccalaureate. During his stay in Hong Kong, Claudius took the opportunity to travel extensively in China, The Philippines, Laos and Thailand. His work experience includes an internship with Vazeer, Akbar, Majid & Co. in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and the legal department of Robert Bosch Domestic Appliances in Munich.
