Christopher Wratil

Christopher Wratil was an intern with the Global Public Policy Institute, Berlin, from February to April 2008. He is currently an undergraduate student in political science at the Otto Suhr Institute of the Free University Berlin. Previously, he studied philosophy and economics at the University of Bayreuth. His research interests focus on comparative political economy and European integration.

In May 2007 he was awarded the German Study Award of the Körber Foundation with an article about work-life balance of clinicians in Germany. He is also president of Europe of New Ideas, a non-profit student initiative committed to promoting European thinking. He receives a scholarship from the German National Merit Foundation. He is currently a fellow of the Studienkolleg zu Berlin, an initiative of the German National Academic Foundation and the Hertie Foundation focusing on European integration.

During his internship with GPPi, Christopher supported GPPi’s work on EU peace operations, EU-China relations and transatlantic relations.
