Christian Dietrich

Christian was an intern with the Global Public Policy Institute, Berlin, for the winter of 2010. He graduated from Leipzig University where he completed his B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy. In 2008 he was a student at the Indiana University, Fort Wayne, Indiana, where he focused on international relations. Christian is currently pursuing his graduate studies in international relations at the Technical University Dresden.

Prior to joining GPPi, Christian interned at the Consulate of the United States in Leipzig and the Checkpoint Charlie Foundation in Berlin, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering cultural and political ties between Germany and the United States.

In his Bachelor’s thesis entitled, "The Undiscovered Grand Synthesis? – An Interpretation of Alexander Wendt’s Social Theory of International Politics as a Meta-Theory of Neo-Realism and Neo-Liberal Institutionalism", Christian questions the contemporary debate in international relations through an epistemological approach. His research interests focus on global governance, international security, and international organizations.

During his internship, Christian supported GPPi’s Global Governance 2020 project and research on global governance and multilateralism.
