Benjamin Halfpenny

Benjamin Halfpenny was an intern at GPPi from August to September 2011. Benjamin’s primary research interests include the fragility of international relations, global governance and government intervention. In particular, he enjoys studying the challenges of post-independence in Sub-Saharan Africa and the complexities of post-colonial relations.

Before his internship at GPPi, Benjamin worked for Lincoln’s Inn in London in the employment law department and for BBC London Factual as a researcher. He also worked at the Greater London Fund for the Blind, assisting the charity with content and leading social media projects.

Benjamin holds a bachelor’s in history from the University of Durham and an MPhil in modern European history from the University of Cambridge.

Following his internship with GPPi, Benjamin intends to pursue work in the areas of public policy and international and multilateral relations.
