Aslihan Saygili

Aslihan Saygili interned with the Global Public Policy Institute (GPPi) from August through September 2011. Her main research interests include international security, conflict resolution and humanitarian assistance.
She is a fourth-year undergraduate student of political science and international relations at Bogazici University in Istanbul. At school, she is a member of the Center for European Studies Student Forum. In 2010, she spent six months in Berlin as an Erasmus exchange student at the Otto-Suhr Institut, which is part of the Freie Universität. During her time there, Aslihan conducted research on global human rights policies. In 2009, she received a scholarship from the Global Institute of Leadership and Civic Development to attend a one-month leadership training program in Prague. And in 2007, she was selected to participate in the Global Young Leaders Conference in Washington, DC/New York. During her studies, Aslihan has been awarded an Academic Excellence Scholarship from the Turkish Education Foundation. Her work experience includes an internship with the Foreign News Department of NTV, a prominent Turkish news channel.
