Ann-Kathrin Scheuermann

Ann-Kathrin Scheuermann was an intern with the Global Public Policy Institute from January – February 2009. In spring 2009, she will complete her undergraduate degree in political science and sociology. Ann-Kathrin pursued her Bachelor’s degree at Mannheim University and the Institute d’Études Politiques Lille.

Her research interests focus on matters of transatlantic relations and Human Rights. Ann-Kathrin interned with Senator Hillary Clinton’s office as well as the German Bundestag and is a university research assistant dealing with comparative research on Europe. She participated in numerous Model United Nations Conferences as well as in a project dealing with the situation of refugees in Europe.

Ann-Kathrin has received scholarships of the German Bundestag, the US Congress and the Friedrich Ebert Foundation. During her internship with GPPi, she contributed to GPPi’s “Learning to Build the Rule of Law” project on organizational learning with regard to European Security and Defence Policy reforms.
