Jamie Manzer

Jamie Manzer was a Research Assistant with the Global Public Policy Institute from June 2008 to August 2009. She holds a Master of Public Policy Degree from the Hertie School of Governance. Her research interests include energy security policy, renewable energy investment, and sustainable welfare policy. During her time with GPPi, Jamie supported the institute's work on the "Changing Rules of the Game: Global Energy Governance in the 21st Century" project.
Prior to and in addition to her work with GPPi, Jamie was a research assistant for Professor Kai Wegrich where she worked on issues of meta-regulation and regulatory governance. She has also worked with the European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights, Berlin, on several research projects related to citizen rights litigation and enforcement. Previously, Jamie served in the United States as an associate community organizer for the Direct Action Research Institute and for the Center for Public Affairs and Civic Engagement.
Jamie Manzer is currently working for Wesley House Family Services (a non-government organization) dedicated to child welfare advocacy. Jamie consults for community providers, state enforcement agencies and parents involved in the dependency system. She also coordinates a county-wide program designed to improve child welfare within the county and improve preventative practices for child welfare providers state-wide.
Jamie holds a B.A. in Anthropology with distinction from Colby College in Waterville, United States.
